Mark your calendars. There is a lot of wrestling on television these days, to the point where it can be hard to keep track of everything. There are five major or close enough to major wrestling shows a week and that fills up a schedule pretty quickly. Making things even more complicated is the fact that two of them have been taking place on the same night. That will no longer be a factor going forward.

The Wednesday Night Wars have been one of the most interesting things to take place in wrestling for a good while now, as AEW Dynamite and NXT have gone head to head for about a year and a half now. That is the kind of thing that gives fans something of a flashback to the famous Monday Night Wars, though this has been a bit more one sided. Now though, the war is over as things are splitting up.

WWE has announced that NXT will officially be moving to Tuesday nights at 8pm EST starting on April 13, the Tuesday after WrestleMania 37. The move has been rumored for several weeks now and comes as NBC Universal looks to move NHL games to Wednesday nights. This will also end the Wednesday Night Wars, with AEW Dynamite will remain in its normal time slot.

NXT has done well on Wednesdays. Check out how it has gone:

Opinion: This is the kind of move that makes me rather happy. As fun as having NXT vs. Dynamite was, it will be nice to not have to be awake so late to watch both of them on the same night. Let the shows be spaced out a bit and the audiences for both can grow. It is a nice thing to see and I’m almost relieved to finally see it happen. The Wednesday Night Wars are over and that is ultimately a good thing.
