Stick around for a bit. There are a lot of people under the WWE banner and as a result, several of them are going to come and go on a pretty frequent basis. That can be both good and bad, as a lot of fans are going to be sad to see someone leave, but they might be a lot happier to see someone else new come in. Hopefully that is the case with a change of pace on the commentary booth.
An ex wrestler is one of the most important parts of a commentary team. You need to have someone who the fans are going to know as well as respect helping to call a match. They can offer insight but can also be familiar, which makes them more trustworthy. If it is someone who has had some success in their in-ring career, it can be even more of a bonus. That seems to be the case with NXT’s newest hire.
NXT has announced that Wade Barrett has officially been signed to a full time contract to become the show’s full time broadcaster. Barrett made his return to the company on the August 26 edition of NXT and has been on the team since. Barrett is being signed to replace Mauro Ranallo, who left the company in September. Unlike Ranallo, Barrett will be in the arena for the show’s broadcasts.

Barrett can do a lot of things with a microphone. Check out what he is capable of:
Opinion: This is some good news, even if it isn’t the most surprising in the world. Barrett seems to be a natural on commentary and hasn’t been gone long enough that fans are going to have forgotten about him. It’s a good addition and the first time there has been a bigger named former wrestler as a regular commentator for a good while now. Now just stick with it for awhile and let the fans get to know his style and we should be fine.
