Take two. NXT has come a very long way in its history. What started as a nothing show which was little more than filler on WWE’s website has earned a spot on national television every Wednesday night. That is quite the jump and NXT’s growth continues to be one of the most impressive things of the last decade in WWE. Now we are going to be in for even more changes.
WWE has a lot of television on any given week and that can make for some rather busy stretches. You never know what you might see on any given WWE show because there is so much material to cover and it can be hard to guess where things are going. That is likely going to be the case this week, as we are going to be getting more than we previously thought.
During this week’s Monday Night Raw, it was announced that NXT General Manager William Regal will be making two major announcements during this week’s edition of NXT. Regal teased the first announcement last week but this was the first mention of a second. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the announcements will be the new NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles and that the upcoming WrestleMania weekend Takeover will be a two night event. Both stories have been rumored but not yet confirmed.
This could be big. Check out a bit of both possible announcements:
Opinion: Both of these are interesting ideas, though I’m not wild on the idea of having another set of titles in NXT. I’m more curious about seeing the show moving to Tuesday nights as has been previously rumored, but maybe that comes later. Either way, it is nice to see NXT keeping things moving because allowing things to become stale is one of the worst things a wrestling company can do.
