The ones who matter. There are a lot of wrestlers who regularly appear on both WWE and AEW television. You can tell that some of them are going to be treated as bigger deals than others, because that is exactly what they are. Some wrestlers are just more important than others and have earned that status by bringing in more money for the company. But who brings in more eyes for two shows in particular?

The Wednesday Night Wars were a fairly big deal in WWE and AEW over the course of 2020, as you had an actual competition between two major wrestling shows for the first time in a good many years. NXT and AEW Dynamite went head to head almost every Wednesday night of the year and some of their wrestlers did better than others. Now we know who was the best of each.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Charlotte was the biggest draw on either show, with her segments bringing in about 47,000 extra fans every time she was on NXT. Rhea Ripley was a draw as well, being the only wrestler whose segment saw an increase over the previous segment. Jon Moxley was AEW’s biggest draw, bringing in about 20,000 extra viewers when he would appear on the show.

They were big deals. Check out who got the fans’ attention:

Opinion: These might not be the biggest surprises, but those are some impressive numbers for everyone involved. Charlotte is one of the most successful women’s wrestlers of all time, Ripley looks like a star and Moxley was the World Champion all year. Those three were put in these spots for a reason and they are producing results for the companies. Expect to see more of them, and that is the case for a good reason.
