I guess they didn’t like what she said. Tuesday night on SmackDown Live, Becky Lynch took the microphone to explain her actions two nights earlier at Summerslam. At the pay per view, Lynch turned on her friend Charlotte and attacked the new SmackDown Women’s Champion. The explanation was pretty obvious, though the Brooklyn fans didn’t seem interested in cheering her. Well now WWE doesn’t seem interested in something else.

This Tuesday, Lynch insulted the live crowd and said that they weren’t there to support her during the lower times of her career. The crowd responded positively and continued to cheer for Lynch. However, the video clip posted to WWE’s YouTube channel is heavily edited and presents Lynch in a very positive light, showing her calling out Charlotte and making no reference to her insulting the crowd. There is no word on what this is going to mean going forward, but it seems that a change may be taking place in the feud.

Here’s the edited version.

Becky Lynch explains why she attacked Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam: SmackDown LIVE, Aug. 21, 2018

Now check out the full version. Lynch’s discussion of the crowd’s reaction begins at about 2:20.

Opinion: Well this is interesting. I’m rather surprised that this is taking place given WWE’s history of not listening to the crowd, but if they’re doing so in this case there may be some hope for the future. Lynch is being cheered to high Heaven in this feud and Charlotte is a natural heel. It’s not what the story was leading towards, but there certainly seems to be the possibility of a change.
