She’s down. You never know when you are going to see someone get injured and sometimes you do not realize that it is taking place right before your eyes. Sometimes those injuries can change plans for the future, no matter how far in advance something has been set up. It seems to have happened again, as a reigning champion is injured and had to miss a title defense.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: Two Monday Night Raw Stars Make Surprise Return After Injury Absence
This week on Monday Night Raw, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan were scheduled to defend their Women’s Tag Team Titles against Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville. However, Morgan was injured and did not appear, leaving Rodriguez to defeat Green in a singles match. Following the match, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler arrived and attacked Rodriguez. There is nothing to suggest that Morgan’s injury is part of a storyline and there is no word on when she will be back in the ring.
The team is good when it is together. Check out Rodriguez and Morgan in action:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that could change things up in a big way. Rousey and Baszler being back is a big enough deal and even with Morgan around, the champs would have trouble keeping their titles. That being said, Morgan being gone is not exactly going to leave Rodriguez with much of a change. Hopefully Morgan is back in the ring sooner than later, but that might not be the case.
What does this mean for the titles? What happens if Morgan is out for an extended time? Let us know in the comments below.
