Not The Same: Interesting Note On Jade Cargill’s SmackDown Debut

They needed a change. There are all kinds of things that come together to make a wrestler feel special and one of the most prominent is the entrance. This can involve quite a few elements coming together but the whole presentation has to work or it falls apart. Occasionally an adjustment needs to be made and that was the case with one of the bigger stars in WWE.

Last week on SmackDown, Jade Cargill made her first official appearance as a member of the SmackDown roster, which included her first full entrance. The entrance included an electricity theme, though according to Fightful Select by way of Cagesideseats.com, WWE had to tweak the entrance a bit before her debut. This was done to avoid the entrance looking too similar to the Rock, who also has the electricity theme to go along with his moniker of The Most Electrifying Man. Cargill will team with Naomi and Bianca Belair against Damage CTRL at WrestleMania 40.

Opinion: That makes sense as there is only so much that can be done without the feeling that Cargill is a copy of the Rock. A few tweaks can go a long way and the version that wound up airing on SmackDown did not feel so much as a copy but rather something that shared the same elements. Hopefully it winds up going well for Cargill, as the entrance helped her feel like even more of a star.
