That’s a relief. There are certain wrestlers who feel like they are going to be around for the better part of ever. Every now and then you find a wrestler who have been around for several decades and some of them are among the true legends of wrestling. Unfortunately that means that a lot of those wrestlers are up there in age and there was a health scare over the weekend. It turns out that things are not as serious as they seem.
There will never be another wrestler on the level of Terry Funk. Not only has he been around since the 1960s but he has had multiple distinct stages in his career. Funk was both the NWA and ECW World Champions and was still wrestling on the independent circuit as of late 2017. Unfortunately he has also had some health issues over the years and one of them has become a problem again.
Over the weekend, Dustin Rhodes tweeted that he had spoken to Funk, who was not doing well and was in a lot of pain. Rhodes asked fans to pray for Funk but did not specify what was wrong. According to PWInsider.com, the source of the pain is from a hip issue that Funk is suffering from and there is nothing to suggest that his life is in danger. It is not clear if anything can be done to fix Funk’s hip at the moment.
Just got off the phone with Terry Funk. He is in a lot of pain and could use some prayers. One of the greatest #TrueLegends to ever be in the ting. Appreciate y'all

Opinion: As horrible as it is to hear that Funk is in this much pain, it is great to know that things are not as bad as they could be. Funk is one of the best examples of wrestlers who have given their lives to the business and left everything they have in the ring. At 76 years old, he is not likely to have that much time left and hopefully he is able to spend that time in as little pain as possible.
