Not So Fast? WWE Reportedly Had Draft Plans For NXT Star Before Releasing Him

That’s a last second change. WWE will regularly make changes to its roster and you never know when you are going to see something done to really mix things up. Some of these changes involve wrestlers leaving the company and occasionally those moves will not make much sense. That was the case again this week, as it seems things were already being set in motion.

Earlier this week, news broke that Von Wagner was released from his NXT contract. According to PWInsider.com, as of last week, Wagner was expected to be part of the WWE Draft, with the company even having a creative pitch for him. The decision was said to be changed in the span of a day. It is not clear what resulted in WWE changing course or when exactly Wagner was released.

Opinion: This is one of those weird situations where it seems WWE changed plans on a dime. That doesn’t make the most sense and it must be frustrating for Wagner, who seemed like he was ready to move up the ladder. Now, despite seemingly being ready to have something to do, he is going to need to find a new job. This could be quite an interesting change, and hopefully Wagner gets another chance as the potential was there.
