Not So Fast: Update On WWE Star Stepping Away From The Ring

That explains it. There are all kinds of wrestling storylines throughout the industry and you never know what kind you might be seeing. Some of them are ones that you have seen before but they might be taking their time to happen. In some cases they might not be well received but they are allowed to take place. That seems to be the case again with a somewhat controversial star.

This week on NXT, Ridge Holland announced that he would be taking time away from WWE, citing his history of injuring wrestlers. According to Fightful Select, this is part of a storyline and Holland is not actually retiring from the ring. There is no word on how long Holland will be away from television. The story is said to be expected to continue despite less than positive reception from fans.

Holland is quite the power guy. Check out the segment plus his time in the ring:

Opinion: This makes sense, as Holland has been dealing with issues for a long time now and seems to be taking time away to deal with them. That is something that fits the story they have been telling in recent months and now we get to see where things are going from here. Holland coming back later in a different role could work well, though WWE is going to have to time it correctly.
