There’s a reason for that. WWE is the largest and most powerful wrestling promotion in the world and as a result, there are going to be wrestlers who want to work for the company. Oftentimes WWE is able to go and pick out the wrestlers they want, but now it seems that a specific something is holding back some of those wrestlers from coming. That might be the case for a long time to come.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is being “uncharacteristically not aggressive” to after various wrestlers. This includes some AEW wrestlers, including members of the Elite and more. The reason is the lawsuit from Major League Wrestling, which has WWE worried about accusations of contract tampering. There is no word on when WWE could return to bringing stars back in as usual.

Opinion: This is a situation where I could see a few different explanations. The lawsuit does make some sense, but at the same time, WWE is being sold to Endeavor and they might not want to bring in anyone else at the moment. What matters in the big picture though is that WWE can’t really go after people, and that could be quite the benefit for pretty much every other promotion.
