It’s a weird time. Earlier this year, Vince McMahon returned to WWE in a surprise move, ending his retirement from the company after about six months. McMahon returned to oversee a sale of the company, which is expected to take place in the next few months. That is going to be the biggest change WWE has ever seen, and now we know a bit more about what that has meant so far.

According to PWInsider Elite, the backstage atmosphere is said to be one of “walking on eggshells” as people are scared for their jobs if and when the company is sold. The feeling is described as the same as it was before McMahon left the company in the first place, though the morale is still said to be better than before. The company is expected to be sold in the next few months, though it is still not clear who will be buying it.

Opinion: I can’t blame the wrestlers for being nervous one bit, as everything that has been around forever in WWE is about to change for good. There is no way of knowing what that is going to mean and now everyone is going to be worried about their future. It is entirely possible that the company could be turned into a shell of its former self after the sale and that should have a lot of people worried.
