Not His Taste: The Rock Reportedly Had A Bizarre Request To Appear On Popular TV Show

That’s different. Wrestlers are celebrities, but they are only such in a rather specific way. You rarely see wrestlers being treated as major stars, but there are a few who have gone on to become pop culture stars. On occasion this comes after the wrestlers have mainly left the ring, and now we are seeing one of them make something of an odd demand about a special appearance.

“Hot Ones” is a television series where celebrities eat a series of chicken wings of varying levels of spice and answer questions. During an interview with Bloomberg, “Hot Ones” host Sean Evans revealed that the show has tried to get The Rock to appear on the show multiple times. However, the only response they have received is a request that the show use grilled salmon rather than wings. There is nothing to indicate that the Rock will appear on the show.

Opinion: This is one of those things that will probably draw some eye rolls from the audience and that shouldn’t be a surprise. It feels like quite the stereotypical “star” request and makes Rock feel like he’s out of touch. While it would be cool to have him on the show, having him do something that none of the other guests do would feel so off and just not what it needed to be.
