Not Happy: Fans Go Off On WWE For Latest Superstar Loss

They aren’t happy. There are certain stars who might not be pushed hard by a promotion but who build up a reaction from the audience anyway. These are the stars who often get stronger reactions than most because the fans have decided that they want to see. It can be a powerful weapon for a wrestler, and now another WWE star seems to have been anointed by the fans.

This week’s edition of SmackDown featured a match between LA Knight and Xavier Woods over a broken video game controller. Woods defeated Knight by using the trunks to help with a rollup, just as Knight had attempted to do before. This was the latest loss for Knight, who has been receiving reactions from the crowd in recent weeks despite rarely winning matches. Here are some of the Twitter reactions from Knight’s loss:

Opinion: The more I see Knight lose, the less I understand WWE’s thinking. Knight has gotten over and become someone the fans want to see. I’m not sure what that might mean, but having him lose again, even via cheating, seems to be more than a bit strange. Even if Knight isn’t the next World Champion, giving him a little something other than a loss does not seem like the worst idea.
