Monday Night Raw’s current contract with the USA Network expires at the end of September while the new Netflix deal begins in January. As a result, there is a three month gap where WWE currently does not have a home for Monday Night Raw. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, USA has told Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics that they will not be airing Monday Night Raw for the last three months of the year. WWE will be making an announcement “relatively soon”, though it is not clear what WWE will be doing.
The show has been working well. Check out what has been going on lately:
Opinion: This is one of those things where WWE still has time to come up with something as they don’t need to have anything ready to go until the beginning of October. Even if they have to air the show on WWE.com in some way, they should have a variety of options to make this work. Hopefully WWE has something in mind, because three months of Monday Night Raw being weird is a bit too much to ask.
