Last year’s WWE Clash At The Castle event featured an Intercontinental Title match between Gunther and Sheamus. WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart was ringside for the match and later criticized the show, including talking about the amount of chops. While Hart did not specify which match he meant, Gunther vs. Sheamus featured several chop exchanges.
This week on WWE’s The Bump (Gunther appears around 35:30), Gunther was asked to speak about former Intercontinental Champions, with Hart being included. Gunther praised Hart’s in-ring ability but said he had not forgotten what Hart said about his match. Gunther went on to say that Hart was not “gonna get anything nice out of” him. Hart has not responded to the comments.

Opinion: I can see both sides of this, as Gunther got over with a certain style but Hart does not seem to like it. At the same time, Gunther has already had quite the success during his time as Intercontinental Champion and things have gone well for him. I’m curious to see how long he holds the title, but that doesn’t mean he is going to make everyone happy. That would seem to be the case with Hart, as no one can please everyone.
What do you think of Hart’s comments? Is Gunther being unreasonable? Let us know in the comments below.
