Apparently not. WWE is a huge wrestling promotion with all kinds of talented wrestlers up and down the roster. At some point though, new stars need to be added to the lineup to freshen things up. Those stars can come from a variety of places around the world, but now it seems that at least one rather prominent free agent star is not going to be joining them after all.

Earlier this year, former IWGP Jay White left New Japan Pro Wrestling when his contract expired, making him a free agent. WWE was reportedly interested in bringing White in but according to PWInsider.com, it does not appear that White is coming to the company. There was “absolutely no discussion” of White at WrestleMania and various officials and talent indicated he will not be signing. There is nothing to suggest that WWE being sold to Endeavor or Vince McMahon reportedly becoming more involved in running WWE television has anything to do with the decision. It is not clear when or where White will wrestle next.
White is certainly a star. Check out some of what he can do:
Opinion: This is one of those things that could be quite the game changer, as well as a sign of the future. If this has something to do with the recent changes in WWE (and it may not), it isn’t looking great for other stars who might want to come in. White is a major star, but it doesn’t seem like he is going to be going to WWE at the moment. If he isn’t, then who else might not be either?
