There had to be a limit. One of the bigger wrestling stories over the last several months has been the return of several former WWE stars to the company. WWE released well over 100 wrestlers from their contracts over the previous year and a half, but now the Triple H regime has brought several of them back. However, things might be changing a bit as we move forward.

Earlier this month, a report said that WWE was negotiating with the Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering about a return to the company. However, according to Fightful Select, other than those returns, “things have been quiet” on the returns front. There is no word on if WWE is interested in bringing back more names or if the company has run out of wrestlers they want to have return.

There have been some big returns. Check out some of the better ones:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that has to happen at some point. There were all kinds of wrestlers who were let go from WWE but there are only so many who the company will want to bring back. WWE has already done a great job of bolstering its roster but there are only so many spots that can be filled. Now just make the returning wrestlers work out, which is easier said than done.
