He’s out. It can be difficult for a wrestler to leave the ring, as there are all kinds of things that can keep a wrestler either in or out of the sport. There is always the chance of having one more match, but occasionally wrestlers will find another way to stick around in one way or another. Now a former WWE star seems interested in doing just that and might even have a plan.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It Shows: WWE SmackDown Star Reportedly Disliked Backstage

Former WWE star Swoggle (formerly known as Hornswoggle) was interviewed by Inside The Ropes and revealed that his in-ring days are “probably behind” him. He said that a recent second failed back surgery would probably prevent him from wrestling for a major company, though he did not say anything about wrestling on smaller shows. Swoggle, 37, went on to say that he hopes to coach and teach while being happy with doing autograph signings for the rest of his life. His most recent match took place on April 22.

Swoggle had a very nice career. Check out what he has done over the years:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that is going to have to happen at some point so this shouldn’t be a surprise. Throw in the apparent failed surgery and it makes sense that Swoggle might have to hang up his boots. Swoggle wound up having a very nice career with runs in multiple companies and that is because he is a talented star. Wrestlers would be smart to listen to him and hopefully that means he has a solid career as a coach.
