The boss is back. There have been a good number of wrestling stories this year but the biggest has been the return of Vince McMahon to WWE to set up the sale of the company. That could be the kind of change that shakes up the wrestling world, but some have been left wondering what McMahon would do with the day to day operations of the company. Now we might have a slightly better idea.

McMahon was backstage in Boston for the March 6 Monday Night Raw. According to Sports Illustrated, McMahon “purposefully stayed out of the way” and made it clear that he was not involved with the show. While McMahon did sit in the Gorilla position, he spent most of the night on his phone and did not offer any input while Triple H was giving wrestlers feedback. McMahon was not at this week’s Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: That is certainly an interesting way to go and while the working theory seems to be that McMahon was there to see John Cena, there is always the chance that he is up to something else. For now though, McMahon, at least on the surface, seems to be keeping his word of not interfering in WWE’s day to day operations. That has been a fear for several fans and it is nice to see that so far (emphasis on those words), it has been unfounded.
