IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: New WWE Star Has Backstage Support, Likely To Be Pushed
During the latest edition of the Wrestling For The Faith podcast, former WWE star Chad Lail (better known as Jackson Ryker or Gunner) announced that he will be retiring from the ring later this year. Lail, 40 years old, said that he has four bookings left, including his final match on August 27 in Salisbury, North Carolina. He cited a string of injuries and wanting to move in different directions to move away from wrestling, though he did say he was willing to make appearances in a role such as a guest referee or signing autographs.
Lail had a long career. Check out some of his time in the ring:
Opinion: Lail is a controversial figure in wrestling due to some of the things he has said, but he has had a long career that saw him succeed in a lot of places. I’m sure he has quite a few fans built up over the years and it is another name from the current generation hanging up his boots for good. Hopefully he is happy with whatever he moves on to doing now that his career is over.
What do you think of Lail’s career? Where did he do his best work? Let us know in the comments below.
