Nikki Bella’s Husband Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

Wrestlers are larger than life stars who get to do things on television that normal people would never be able to get away with anywhere. It can be fascinating to see what they do in their work lives, but unfortunately there are times where the real life world is a lot worse. That appears to be the case again as a WWE Hall Of Famer is dealing with something rather serious.

According to TMZ, Nikki Bella’s husband Artem Chigvintsev was arrested on charges of felony domestic battery on Thursday, though the specifics of the situation are not clear. It is not clear if Bella herself was involved in the situation, though a recent Instagram story suggests that she and Chigvintsev were in the same place when the arrest took place.

According to PWInsider.com, Chigvintsev was charged with “illegal to injure a spouse, cohabitant or fellow parent in an act of domestic violence. This offense is also referred to as domestic abuse, domestic violence, or corporal injury to a spouse.” An update from TMZ says that there was an arrest made and injuries were involved, though the victim has requested total confidentiality.

Opinion: This is definitely a situation where the details are going to matter more than anything else, but the report saying that there were injuries involved take this to a different place. There is no reason for something like that to happen and hopefully there is some kind of a misunderstanding or something behind it, but this does not look good at all on the surface. It’s a horrible situation and what matters is that everyone is safe, as it could get even worse otherwise.
