Welcome to the main roster. WE has a lot of resources at its command, with one of the biggest being its own in-house developmental program. NXT allows WWE to train its own next generation of stars on the way to the main roster and it can be a big deal when someone is called up. That was the case this weekend as a promotion to the main roster gave us a reunion.

At WWE Clash At The Castle, NXT’s Giovanni Vinci made his main roster debut as a second for Gunther during his Intercontinental Title match against Sheamus. Vinci joins Gunther and Ludvig Kaiser to reform the Imperium stable, which had previously been a faction in NXT. Kaiser and Gunther debuted on SmackDown in April while Vinci, formerly known as Fabian Aichner, remained in NXT and was repackaged.

Opinion: I could certainly go for this, as Vinci was doing ok in NXT but it never felt exactly right. Let him be back together with the rest of Imperium, where he fit better than he did at any point in his career. Gunther and Kaiser were a good pairing but making it a trio again makes a lot of sense. This is the right way to go and hopefully it is the kind of thing that can make everyone that much better.

What do you think of the call up? How will Vinci and Imperium do on the main roster? Let us know in the comments below.
