You have to look to the future. WWE is on quite the roll at the moment, with strong ticket sales and revenue up around the horn. Whatever they are doing right now is going rather well and the question becomes how long they can carry things. At the same time though, they have to figure out who can take over in the future, and now they might be starting to take care of that.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE is planning to hold talent tryouts for future Superstars in Detroit, Michigan during the days before Summerslam on August 5. Head NXT coach Matt Bloom and other NXT coaches will oversee the tryouts. WWE did the same thing at last year’s Summerslam, though there is no guarantee on how many people WWE may sign out of the tryouts.

WWE has held various tryouts before. Check out how some of them have gone:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that WWE has to do from time to time and hopefully the tryouts are a mixture of athletes from other sports as well as established wrestlers. There are all kinds of talent out there and WWE trying to get their hands on some of them is a good sign for the future. It has to be gone from time to time and making it an annual event is not the worst idea.

What kinds of wrestlers does WWE need? Who should they sign? Let us know in the comments below.
