Ouch. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be written off television in an injury angle. Sometimes the injury is legitimate but sometimes it is designed to make someone else look like a major threat. That can make for some interesting situations going forward, and it appears that we are seeing it again as a second WWE Superstar has been out put of action by a monster.

This week on Monday Night Raw, Bronson Reed attacked R-Truth with a series of Tsunami splashes. Following the show, R-Truth posted an update to Twitter, revealing that he has cracked ribs and internal bruising. While not confirmed, it is likely that he will be out of action for some time. There is no word on if R-Truth’s injuries are legitimate or part of the storyline. This is the second person that Reed has injured in the last two weeks after putting Seth Rollins on the shelf the previous week.

Reed is a monster. Check out what he has been doing in recent weeks:

Opinion: This is certainly a way to get Reed over as a monster and it is working rather well so far. What matters the most is making him look like a star and if he puts people on the shelf in the process, so be it. R-Truth is one of the more beloved stars in WWE today and having Reed take him away from the fans is only going to make Reed feel that much more of a threat.
