On top? There are all kinds of titles and accomplishments in wrestling, but the promotion’s World Title is often the most important. It can be an absolute game changer for a wrestler’s career to win a company’s top title, especially if it is for the first time. Now we have a better idea of where one of those titles might be going in the future, and it could be a huge deal.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW is considering Darby Allin having a run with the company’s World Title. There is no word on when Allin would win the title if he does wind up doing so, though he is currently scheduled for a title shot at Grand Slam on September 25. Allin is also scheduled for a shot at Jack Perry’s TNT Title this coming Sunday at All In.

Opinion: This isn’t a huge shock but it is one of those things that I would need to see to believe. What matters the most about Allin is the fact that the fans connect with him so well. Allin has become one of the bigger names in AEW through his hard work and dedication to wrestling, which can carry him a very long way. I could go for seeing him as champion and AEW might be seeing things in a similar light.
