He has a target. There are all kinds of titles in WWE and some of them are among the most prestigious in wrestling today. Some of the company’s championships have been around for decades with some all time names holding many of them. Now one of the most successful title holders WWE has ever seen is ready to move up to the next level, which could make for a big moment.

Gunther has held the WWE Intercontinental Title for a record 525+ days. During an interview with Wrestlingnews.co, Gunther says he feels he has outgrown the Intercontinental Title. He went on to say that he is ready to make the next step up, though he also understood that the Intercontinental Title was not going to main event either night of WrestleMania. Gunther also praised Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns for their current runs as champions. There is no word on when WWE could have Gunther move into the World Title picture.

Opinion: I’m not sure what this is going to mean, but Gunther moving into the World Title picture is something that has seemed to be ready to go for a long time now. Gunther has long since demolished the midcard and there is nothing left for him to do other than move up the ladder. It should make for a good run, as he buildup has certainly been done in a rather successful way.
