What’s the plan? There are a lot of wrestlers in NXT and that can make for some difficult situations. It can be hard for WWE to come up with something for everyone to do but they make it work as well as can be expected. Some of their efforts are better than others and you can tell when someone is getting that extra push. Now we know the thinking behind one of the newer stars.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Zoey Stark is being pushed in NXT as the company feels that fans will see her as someone fans will get behind because she is a hard worker. Stark debuted in the women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic and has since moved on to appear as a singles wrestler in NXT. She defeated Toni Storm on the Kickoff Show at Takeover: Stand & Deliver.
Opinion: That is quite the basic way to go for Stark but it seems like something that could wind up working, if nothing else just due to the pure talent involved. Stark has done quite well in the limited amount of time that she has had in NXT and I’m curious to see how well she can do if she is given an extended push like this one. The talent is there and NXT knows that, which is a rather nice position to have.
That is one of the places where NXT tends to shine and that is a very positive thing. Above all else, they know what they have on their hands and they set things up to make those wrestlers do well as a result. I’m not sure what they are going to manage to do with Stark, but at least they are trying with her and so far, that has worked out rather well. Now just keep it going and see how it works.
What do you think of Stark? How far can she go in NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
