They’re coming up. NXT is a special feature for WWE, as it allows the company to build up its next generation in house rather than having to build them up elsewhere. As a result, it can make a big difference when someone is moved up from NXT to one of the main roster. There have now been several names called up in recent days, and NXT is going to have some holes to fill.

WWE held the second half of its 2023 Draft this week on Monday Night Raw, with multiple NXT names being called up to either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown. During the show, the following NXT names were selected:
SmackDown
Pretty Deadly (Elton Prince/Kit Wilson)
Cameron Grimes
Monday Night Raw
Katana Chance/Kayden Carter
Following the show, these names were selected on Raw Talk:
SmackDown
Grayson Waller
Monday Night Raw
Indus Sher (Jinder Mahal/Sanga/Veer Mahaan)
Odyssey Jones
In addition, Xyon Quinn was included in the Draft pool but was not selected, making him a free agent.

Opinion: This is quite the night for NXT, but at the same time there are going to be some major holes in what NXT is going to be able to do. NXT lost a good chunk of its roster and they are going to have to fill in those gaps one way or another. They might be able to promote some other names to help, but there is going to be a rough transitional period for at least a little while.
