That’s a fast turnaround. One of the coolest things about modern wrestling is how much content there is out there. Between WWE and AEW alone, there are is about a show a day and that is before you get to some other options out there. With so much wrestling available, it can be fascinating to see what you can find out there. That will be the case again in the near future.
There are very few letters in wrestling with the kind of history of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). The promotion has been around since 1948 and while it might not be in the best of places these days, it is still a name that holds some power. It has been a little while since we have gotten to see the NWA with new content, but that seems ready to change after a recent move.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the NWA will begin resuming television tapings from March 21-24, marking the company’s return to original content. It is not clear when or where these shows will air, what the show will be called or if there will be fans in attendance. This comes a few days after the NWA deleted all of its videos from its YouTube channel for no apparent reason.
Who knows what they might find? Check out some classic NWA:
Opinion: This is something that could make things a lot more interesting as the NWA caught lightning in a bottle with Powerrr in 2019. I have no idea if they are going to be able to do that again but it isn’t like the NWA has been away for years. Hopefully it works out, as there is nothing wrong with having more good wrestling to watch. Good for the NWA, assuming they can make it work.
