I’d call him big show worthy. We are just over two months away from Summerslam and that means it is time for WWE to start getting things ready for one of their biggest shows of the year. There are all kinds of things that they need to get done before they head to Las Vegas and that includes putting together some top names on the card. That is what they are doing at the moment and now they might have another huge name.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is hoping to have Edge appear at Summerslam. There is no word on what Edge would be doing or who he would be facing. Edge has not appeared since WrestleMania 37, when he lost in the main event of night two to Roman Reigns in a Universal Title match, also involving Daniel Bryan. Edge has been announced for the July 16 Smackdown in Houston, Texas, which will be WWE’s first event with full capacity fans in sixteen months.
Edge has done pretty well since his return. Check out his time back in WWE:
Opinion: This is the kind of name that should not surprise you for Summerslam but that does not make it any less exciting. Edge is one of the biggest names that WWE has today and it is great to see him getting back in the ring as often as he does. I can also understand WWE wanting to leave him out of the ring so often, as he does not have the best record when it comes to staying healthy. Let him heal up and get his appearances in where they matter.
