It’s an eventful event. We are coming up on the annual WWE Draft, which starts later this Friday and wraps up next Monday. This is the annual event that changes the WWE rosters, with wrestlers being sent to and from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. These changes reshape the way the WWE roster looks and we could be in for quite the set of moves this year. Now we might know a bit more about what to expect.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, several names from NXT are planned to move up to either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown in an effort to freshen up both shows. This comes two weeks after NXT was relaunched and introduced several new characters and wrestlers. In addition, FOX and USA both already know the key names who are going to be moved, though everything involved is still subject to change and little is set in stone as of yet.
There have been some huge moves in the Draft before. Check out what you might be seeing:
Opinion: The NXT idea could go both ways. On one hand, the main rosters certainly need some fresh talent and that is why NXT is there. On the other hand, NXT is already hanging on by a thread when it comes to star power and I’m scared to imagine what it would look like without some of the stars that it still has. WWE has made it clear that NXT is not a priority though and now it is going to take yet another big hit.
