WOO! As previously mentioned, ESPN is releasing a documentary on the life of Ric Flair at some point in 2017. The film will be directed by Rory Karpf and is part of their 30 for 30 series. Flair has had several documentaries about his life produced by WWE but this is the first from a major outside media outlet. This isn’t the only wrestling related documentary from ESPN to be released in the near future. As previously mentioned, a documentary on Vince McMahon’s failed XFL will debut in February 2017.

I’m a big fan of these documentaries and ESPN has a good track record of putting on some good stuff. Flair is a fascinating character and story and could easily make for a fascinating documentary, especially if it’s done properly. I’m looking forward to seeing what they can do and maybe we’ll get some stories that Flair hasn’t told before. If nothing else it’s cool to see wrestling getting some attention like this for a change.

Will you be watching the documentary? Would you like to see Flair come back to WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
