They need all they can get. Things in WWE have been shaken up in a big way over the last few weeks and that might not be changing anytime soon. One of the biggest stories over the last few weeks has been the Coronavirus outbreak which has shaken up the NXT locker room. With so many changes, NXT has been having to put together a Takeover this Sunday. Now they have something new to add.

One of the biggest additions to NXT over the last year has been the cruiserweight division. After so many years of existing almost solely on 205 Live, the division was given new life by being brought into NXT. That might not be the biggest deal in the world elsewhere, but it helped NXT out a little bit. Now the cruiserweights can help NXT out a little bit more while they are in some tough times.

WWE has announced that NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar will defend his title against Isaiah Scott at Takeover 31 on Sunday October 4. Scott is the only person to pin Escobar during his time in NXT, both during the Cruiserweight Title tournament and in a six man tag. This is the fifth match set for the show and the fourth title match announced for the card.

The feud has been building for a good while. Check out how we got here:

Opinion: This is one of the few matches that could be thrown onto the card to help build things up. The show is not exactly the deepest at the moment and that is hardly a surprise given the circumstances. One thing that helps NXT out more than almost anything else is their depth though and that is on display here. They can throw out this kind of a match and add something to the show, which needs the help this time around.

What do you think of the match? Who leaves with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
