One more, for WrestleMania’s sake. A lot of stuff happened earlier this month at WrestleMania 34. Ronda Rousey debuted, John Cena got squashed by the Undertaker, Asuka’s undefeated streak was snapped and Brock Lesnar retained the Universal Title against the Undertaker in a big surprise. There were also some title changes, some of which were bigger surprises than others. In one case though, we’re already getting a rematch next month at Backlash 2018.

This one had a little something to do with it.

Alexa Bliss has an important "public service announcement": Raw, April 23, 2018

This week on Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Nia Jax will defend her Raw Women’s Title in a rematch with former Champion Alexa Bliss at the upcoming pay per view. The rematch comes after Bliss has called Jax a bully after Jax attacked Bliss’ friend Mickie James before the WrestleMania match. The two met in a ten woman tag in this week’s main event. This match will be Jax’s first televised title defense.

Opinion: This is the most logical move for the match as Jax and Bliss have some unfinished business. What I’m not clear on is who Jax will face after getting past Bliss. It’s not that she doesn’t have opponents to face, but who should she face? You could make the case for James, but there’s not much point if she’s going to be destroyed by Ronda Rousey as the ending of this week’s show suggested. Maybe Ember Moon, but it might be a little early for that.
