One more for the card. We are less than a week away from AEW’s next pay per view offering with Double Or Nothing and most of the show is already set. There are going to be several title matches on the show, but as usual there is always time to add a few more things to the show. AEW has kind of done that again, albeit with a match airing before the show itself.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, AEW Italian broadcaster Salvatore Torrisi has announced that Serena Deeb will defend the NWA Women’s Title against Riho on the Double Or Nothing Buy-In show. Riho defeated Deeb during the AEW Women’s Title Eliminator tournament in February has not wrestled a match since the March 10 edition of Dynamite. Deeb’s most recent match was a successful title defense against Red Velvet on May 19. The show will air before Double Or Nothing, which begins at 8pm eastern time.

These two have some history together. Check out the two in action, including their match against each other:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that needs to be done as the NWA Women’s Title is a nice addition to AEW. It allows another prize for the rather deep women’s division and can serve for a bunch of one off matches like this one. Riho is one of the bigger stars AEW has developed for its women’s division and Deeb can have a good match against anyone, so this should work out well.
