There’s always room for something else. We are three days away from AEW Full Gear and that is a good reason to be excited. The company has a rather great track record on pay per view and know how to put on a great show. That is the kind of thing that you don’t get to see very often as AEW only runs a few pay per view events a year. Now the card is getting something new and it sounds promising.
One of the interesting things about AEW is when they bring in other wrestlers from outside promotions. Oftentimes these wrestlers are going to be little more than glorified cannon fodder for the AEW wrestlers but when you get something competitive, it can really good in a hurry. That has been the case before and hopefully that is what we are going to be seeing again this Saturday.
AEW President Tony Khan has announced that the NWA Women’s Title will be on the line at Full Gear as Serena Deeb defends the title against Allysin Kay. This comes after Deeb won the title less than two weeks ago and defended it on Dynamite last week. Kay is a former champion as well, having lost the title to Thunder Rosa, who lost it to Deeb. Earlier this week, Kay announced that her NWA deal was over and she was a free agent.
Before tonight’s huge Live #AEWDynamite on TNT, I’ve just secured a big new match for Saturday at The Buy-In available to all! After her NWA World Women’s Title win last week + 1st defense on Dynamite, @SerenaDeeb will defend her title against former champion @Sienna Allysin Kay! pic.twitter.com/bkFSeq0IaU

Opinion: Works for me. The NWA Women’s Title has turned into a nice little bonus for AEW and if they can showcase some people from outside and find a hidden gem, great for them. I’m not sure how hidden Deeb and Kay are but it’s nice to have them around and getting a spot on a big show. The match should have some serious potential too and I’ll take that on a pay per view.
What are you expecting from the match? Who leaves as champion? Let us know in the comments below.
