Hand them over. A title change can mean a lot in the wrestling world as someone else is taking over an important spot in the promotion. New champions being crowned allows a wrestler to become a top star and that is the kind of change that makes waves throughout a company. That took place this week, and it came in quite the surprise moment to end a show.

The main event of this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw the Gunns defeat the Acclaimed to win the Tag Team Titles. The win came after a belt shot to Anthony Bowens and a rollup, leaving the Acclaimed upset to end the show. This comes after the two teams have been feuding on and off since the middle of last year, with the teams working together but then splitting over the Gunn’s father Billy, who manages the Acclaimed.

Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going, but that is going to lead to a lot of talking about the decision. The Acclaimed are the hottest act in AEW right now and having them lose to a team like the Gunns is not going to go so well with a good chunk of the fans. Maybe AEW has something in mind for this, but it is going to be quite the interesting trick to have it seem like the best idea.
