The most recent of many. WWE has a lot of television shows but for the last twenty years, the two main series have been Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. Last year, Smackdown celebrated its 20th anniversary, which is quite the milestone for any wrestling show. That means the show has some incredible history in its own right and that history had a new entry this week.
Starting back in March, WWE was forced to move both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The shows have been run out of the same venue for the better part of five months and there is no indication of when things are going to be changing. This week’s show was the 1093rd episode in the history of SmackDown, which debuted on August 26, 1999.
According to the WWE Stats & Info Twitter account, this week’s episode of SmackDown was the twenty second episode to be held at the Performance Center, setting a new record for any venue. The previous record was twenty one, held by the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. WWE will be holding the show at the Performance Center for the foreseeable future.
Tonight's episode will be the the 22nd @WWE #SmackDown to take place inside Orlando's @WWEPC.
This will make the #WWE Performance Center home to the most SmackDown episodes in history – passing Philadelphia's @WellsFargoCtr, which hosted its 21st episode back in November.

SmackDown has had some cool moments over the summer. Check out what has gone down at the Performance Center:
Opinion: I can always go for factoids like this as it is something that almost no one else would keep track of. There is so much history in WWE that you can almost always find something new. The interesting part is that this is a record which could be extended for a very long time to come, with no end in sight to the show moving out of the Performance Center. Then again, records are made to be broken, which has been the case again here.
