Part dos. Earlier this year, former NXT Champion Andrade Cien Almas and his business partner Zelina Vega were drafted to SmackDown Live in the Superstar Shakeup. This was a big moment for the NXT fans as Almas and Vega had one of the best acts the promotion had seen in a very long time. If they were allowed to do their thing on the main roster, it should be a treat for everyone involved. Almas hasn’t exactly gotten off to a hot start, but he’ll be getting a bit larger platform rather soon.

WWE.com has announced that Almas will face Sin Cara in a rematch from this week’s SmackDown Live on Sunday during the Extreme Rules Kickoff Show. This will be only Almas’ fourth televised match since he debuted on the main roster back in May. The match will join Sanity vs. New Day in a tables match as the second match on the Kickoff Show, both of which come from SmackDown Live.

Opinion: Works for me. Their match on Tuesday was very acrobatic with both guys working hard to get the other one over. Cara doesn’t wrestle on television very often but he’s still quite good at making someone else look good. Almas has all the tools to become a top star and one of the featured attractions of either brand if he and Vega are allowed to work together. Hopefully this is a stepping stone up the ladder for Almas, who could use the boost.
