Welcome back! Injuries are one of the worst things that can happen to a wrestler as their plans can be put on hold instantaneously. You never know how long someone is going to be out of action and it can lead to quite the layoff. It can make for a big deal when someone returns to the ring after a lengthy absence and that is what we got to see this week, albeit in a different way.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Out: 40 Year Old Former WWE Star Responds To Return Request, What He Has Been Doing
This week’s edition of Ring Of Honor Wrestling was scheduled to feature Maria Kanellis and the Kingdom vs. Trish Adora and the Infantry. However, Kanellis announced that she was injured and unable to wrestle, with Leylah Hirsch appearing as a surprise replacement. Hirsch tore her ACL in April 2022 and has not wrestled since. Hirsch is expected to be part of Ring Of Honor going forward.
It’s a big deal. Check out Hirsch’s comments after her return, plus her in action before the injury:
Opinion: It’s great to have Hirsch back as you never want to se someone put on the shelf for any amount of time at all, especially for over a year. Hirsch was starting to figure things out before her injury and hopefully she can bounce back to full strength rather quickly. Ring Of Honor’s women’s division can use some extra help and it would be great to have hirsch be part of it.
What do you think of Hirsch? How will she fit in with Ring Of Honor? Let us know in the comments below.
