It can make a difference. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be rather difficult for someone to break through to the next level. One of the best ways is to have someone give another wrestler a hand up, which can come out of nowhere. That was the case earlier this year and it wound up making quite the positive difference in a wrestler’s future.

Back in May, WWE presented Backlash in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The show featured Zelina Vega challenging Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Title. According to Fightful Select, the match was originally planned as a squash win for Ripley, but a change was made to have Vega be more competitive. The quality of the match, as well as Vega’s reception, were said to lead to Vega’s push after the match. Ripley was said to be completely fine with the match being more competitive.

Opinion: It can be rather interesting to see what happens when a big star like Ripley is willing to help someone out. Vega got quite a bit out of that match while Ripley was going to be a star no matter what happened there. It means a lot to have someone give a rub like that and it would be great to see other WWE stars being so selfless in the future, as it can be a huge boost for someone else.
