There’s an accomplishment. Wrestling and video games go hand in hand in a lot of ways and that is a very good thing. Above all else, it makes sense to have something as over the top as wrestling tied into something that is designed to be over the top as well. You can control the wrestlers in any way that you want in a wrestling game, but now things are going to be a little bit different.

Earlier this year, the New Day was split up in the WWE Draft. This was the kind of thing that a lot of fans were not going to be expecting to actually see take place but now we are in a WWE where New Day has been put onto two different brands. That does not mean that their time as a trio is over though, as now they are doing something together outside of WWE.

New Day’s Xavier Woods has announced that all three members of New Day will be available as downloadable content in the Gears 5 video game. Woods made the announcement on Twitter, saying that he has been a fan of both the games and book series for years now and is honored to be part of the game. Batista is also part of the game as a downloadable content character as well.

You might be familiar with them. Check out the three of them on their own and as part of the team:

Opinion: This is the kind of cool moment that makes me smile as a wrestling fan. I know New Day have a history of being involved with gaming, but at the same time you don’t get to see them doing something like this very often. It’s a cool thing to see and hopefully they get to do some more things over the coming years. New Day has that chemistry together that you can’t manufacture and it’s great to see them having their success.

How cool is it for New Day to be in the game? When will they team again? Let us know in the comments below.
