Never Before: SmackDown Doing Something For The First Time Ever This May

First time ever. WWE is an international wrestling promotion and as a result, the company will often bring shows to different locations around the world. It can be a big deal when the company does something that they have never done before, even if it becoming harder to make that work. WWE is going to do that again this year, with both a first time event and bringing back a special show.

This weekend at WrestleMania 40, WWE announced that King And Queen Of The Ring will return on May 25, with the show taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In addition, the May 24 edition of SmackDown will also be held in Jeddah. This marks the first time that one of WWE’s regular television shows will take place in Saudi Arabia. It marks the company’s first return to the company since November.

Opinion: This is hardly the biggest surprise as WWE and Saudi Arabia continue to work together. It wouldn’t stun me to see WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia at some point in the future, as the company has done quite a few things in the country over the years. There is a good chance that the SmackDown before the Saudi Arabia events will be on the road more and more often, but they have to start somewhere.
