All of them? It can be a big deal when a prominent star leaves a promotion, as it both creates a hole in the company they just left, while also opening the door for someone else to sign them. That can make for an interesting situation, and there are times when more than one name can come up at the same time. This time around, it seems to be happening even more than usual.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Speculation Over How WWE May Keep AJ Styles Around Longer Than Planned
Three former champions seem to be departing TNA Wrestling following this weekend’s Genesis event. According to PWInsider.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, both Jordynne Grace and Josh Alexander are done with the promotion. Grace is expected to sign with WWE while Alexander is looking to test out free agency. At Genesis, Grace lost to Tessa Blanchard while Alexander lost an I Quit match to Mike Santana.
Finally, TNA Digital Media Champion PCO appeared at this weekend’s The People vs. GCW event and smashed the Digital Media title belt with a sledgehammer. According to Fightful Select, it was initially believed that PCO was doing something for a storyline with TNA but this does to appear to be the case. PCO’s TNA contract is believed to have expired at the end of 2024 and he is not expected back with the company. He and Sami Callihan lost a tag match to the Hardys on last week’s Impact Wrestling.
That was different. Check out Grace and Alexander in TNA, plus PCO going insane:
Opinion: That is certainly a blow to TNA as you do not see a promotion lose so many big names at once very often. At the same time, having PCO, a reigning champion, wreck a title on another promotion’s show is about as bad of a look as you can reasonably imagine. I’m not sure what is next for Alexander and PCO, but we should be seeing Grace in a rather prominent spot in the very near future.
