Make sure they get their luggage. Money In The Bank has become one of the biggest and more important shows of the WWE year. While it might not be as big as WrestleMania, the show’s namesake matches are more than enough to make a big impact. Having someone all but guaranteed a title change offers a real wild card to the mix, which was the case again this year.
This year’s Money In The Bank again saw a men’s ladder match and a women’s ladder match take place. The women’s ladder match was won by Bayley, who cashed in her briefcase later in the night to become SmackDown Women’s Champion. The men’s ladder match was won by Brock Lesnar, who made a surprise return at the show and replaced Sami Zayn, who had been attacked earlier in the night.
It was a big night. Check out how Bayley won the briefcase:
And it wasn’t over. Check out how she felt after winning the title:
Opinion: The Bayley wins were awesome and the kind of thing that made the show that much better. I’m going to withhold judgment on the Lesnar win as A, it means the briefcase won’t be around every week and B, there’s a strong chance he doesn’t win. Letting Seth Rollins beat him again would be a great touch, though I’m not sure I believe that’s going to happen.
Which of these was better? Will Lesnar be champion again? Let us know in the comments below.
