That’s one. We are just over two weeks away from WWE’s next major event with Fastlane. As a result, a good deal of the card would normally have been announced, but in this case, there has not been a single match added as we came into this week’s SmackDown. One match has been set for the show, but what we have gotten is not even a full match, as there is a piece missing.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: No Bro: Matt Riddle Gone From WWE, Reported Reason Why

This week on SmackDown, John Cena announced that he wanted to face the Bloodline and asked AJ Styles to be his partner. Styles agreed, with Paul Heyman saying the Bloodline would face the team. Adam Pearce agreed to make the match at Fastlane, with a contract signing taking place this week. Cena signed the contract, but Styles was attacked before he signed. The match appears set for Fastlane, but Cena currently has no partner. Fastlane takes place on October 7.

It was a busy night. Check out how we got to Fastlane:

Opinion: This is at least better than nothing, but now the question is who will be Cena’s partner at the show. LA Knight would seem to be a strong choice and it would give him quite the rub to be working with these people. Anyone getting to work with Cena is a nice boost, but what matters is how well the match goes. They have put in the ground work for a special match though and that’s a good start.

What do you think of the match? Who should Cena’s partner be? Let us know in the comments below.
