Ouch. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and you never know when you are going to see someone get banged up in a big way. Occasionally there are going to be people who get hurt out of nowhere and have to be on the shelf for quite a long time. That is what we are seeing again, as a WWE Superstar was pretty terribly banged up and is not going to be around as a result.

This week on Monday Night Raw, JD McDonagh was injured during a tag match when the Judgment Day lost to the War Raiders. McDonagh suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung, with the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reporting that he collapsed when he went backstage. It is believed that he will be out of action for about four months, but that is considered an estimate at this point.

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised by this, as the crash McDonagh suffered was one of the scariest things I’ve seen in a long time in wrestling. Thankfully it wasn’t a lot worse than it could have been, as you never know what you are going to see with something that terrifying. McDonagh is already going to be out of action for a long time and now we get to see what he can do when he gets back.
