It’s over. WWE and AEW dominate most of the wrestling landscape as they are by far the biggest and most powerful promotions in the United States. However they are far from the only promotions around, as there are several companies with impressive talent of their own. Now one of those other promotions has received a nice payday from WWE over some legal issues.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: RUMOR KILLER On Drew McIntyre’s WWE Status
Back in December 2023, WWE agreed to a financial settlement with Major League Wrestling to end an antitrust lawsuit. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but they have since been found out. According to F4WOnline.com, the TKO Group’s financial statement revealed that the settlement was for $20 million. A further form filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission confirmed that the payment was the one to Major League Wrestling.

Opinion: This feels like something where WWE just gave Major League Wrestling a check to make the lawsuit go away and that is not a bad thing. For WWE, twenty million dollars is not the biggest hit but it could be a huge boost to Major League Wrestling. It’s good to hav this over and now both of them can move on, albeit with Major League Wrestling now having a much stronger bank account.
