That’s a big change. The WWE roster is in a state of flux and that seems like it is going to be the case for a long time to come. It is keeping things moving and we could be in for a lot more changes before everything is done. The situation can get even more complicated when you have someone being moved off the roster without being planned. That was the case this week, and WWE has made some adjustments as a result.
On Friday, WWE announced that Bayley has suffered an injury and will be out of action for about nine months. This came as Bayley was the #1 contender for the SmackDown Women’s Title, meaning things would need to be shaken up. This week on SmackDown, Sonya Deville announced that Carmella would take Bayley’s place in the title match against Bianca Belair, which will be moved to the July 16 SmackDown. Carmella will be replaced in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match by Liv Morgan.
This is going to shake things up. Check out the announcement plus both women in action:
Opinion: This might seem a bit thrown together and that is because it was. Bayley’s injury came out of nowhere and it isn’t like the SmackDown women’s division has a ton of depth in the first place. There are talented people there, but there are not many of them and that is going to cause some issues. The moves made here make sense and hopefully the matches wind up working anyway.
What do you think of the moves? How will both matches go? Let us know in the comments below.
